About the event
The Fyrish QuartetIs a vibrant young group formed in 2017 by Emma Donald, Violin, Joe Hudson, Violin, Sarah Leonard, Viola and Tim Cais, Cello in 2017. Â
Emma is a founder member of the group and also the Highland based orchestra Mahler Players. She plays for the Scottish Ballet orchestra both classical and traditional Scottish music She has a first class honours degree in music from University of Edinburgh. Â
Joe Hudson, Violin, graduated with a BMus (Hons) from the RCS in 2018.  He has performed with Scottish Ballet Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Ulster Orchestra, the Scottish Festival Orchestra and L’Orchestre de Picardie.Â
Sarah Leonard, Viola, graduated from RCS with a BMus (Honours) in 2012 and the Royal Northern College of Music in Solo Performance in 2014. While studying she won The Mabel Glover String Quartet prize and the Draper Trust Scholarship award.
