The club receives sponsorship from Chamber Music Scotland with funds from Creative Scotland and this financial support helps to give the Cowal audiences a high musical level and a great variety of all kinds of music including jazz (traditional as well as modern), classical including commissioned pieces and Scottish.
The club is also a member of the Argyll and Bute Concert Tour, ABCT, and, along with the other members - Bute,Kintyre - Mid-Argyll - Islay and Oban, select top quality professional musicians from abroad as well as through out the UK.
The Tunnell Trust write every year to all Scottish Music Clubs and Arts Guilds known to have an interest in Chamber Music and, wherever possible, the Cowal Music Club avails themselves of this opportunity to book an ensemble and give them an experience of performing in front of a Scottish audience. The Trust was set up in memory of John Tunnell OBE the founding leader of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and his wife, Wendy, and one of the main aims of the Trust is to provide outstanding young British based Chamber Music ensembles with engagements at Scottish venues.
Cowal Music Club is part of the Argyll and Bute Concert Tour and is a registered Scottish Charity (Number 02785).
