Dopey Monkey began in 2015 with Danielle Price and Martin Lee Thomson exploring all things tuba and euphonium in an informal concert for friends.  

Danielle studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland graduating in 2013 with Distinction from the Mater of Music courses and winning the Governor’s Recital Prize for Brass.  She has performed with the BBC SSO, RSNO and other groups specialising in jazz and brass music.  

Martin has just finished his last year in Jazz (BMus Hons) at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and has recently graduated from the Norges Musikkhohskol with Masters in jazz/improv. He is the recipient of the Scottish International Educational Trust Award, Cross Trust Award, Ang-Norse Scholarship and Donald Dewar award.
