About The Event
Salomé String Quartet was formed in 2016 by four prizewinning students at the Royal College of Music in London, the quartet is a multinational ensemble and the line up is: Kasia Ziiminska, Viola, Inês Delgado, Violin, Haim Choi,violin and Shizuku Tatsuno, Cello.
Kasia studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Royal College of Music with Maciej Rakowski, Krzystof Chorzelski and Stephanie Gonley. She is passionate about a variety of musical pursuits, such as chamber music, historical performance, classical improvisation and contemporary music.
Inês is pursuing a Masters degree at the Royal College of Musician Yuri Zhislin’s class. Her passion for orchestra is currently an eminent part of her life. Most recently she was a winner of the Arkady Futer Special Prize and of the English National Opera’s Evolve Scheme.
The German born South Korean violinist, Haim, studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Royal College of Music with professor Itzhak Rashkovsky as an Orpheus Scholar. She is prize winner of many national and international Wieniaski and Lipinski International Violin competitions most recently awarded 1st Prize at Luigi Boccherini Award at the Virtuoso & Belcanto Chamber Music Competitiona, as a violin & piano duo.
Shizuku graduated from the Yehudi Menuhin School in July 2016 is currently studying at the Royal College of Music since 2016 supported by a scholarship from Royal College of Music. In 2010 she received an Award for Excellence at the Minami Nihon Music Competition, First Prize in the Kumanichi Student Music and the Grand Prize in Kumanichi Grand Prix.
